It's sorta like that other birthday picture, with just the lone kid sitting at the table, with lots of places set, but no one is there. And no one will be there because the candles are lit.

That's pretty much the only picture you can post on /b/ and get "that's so sad" as a response.

Don't know about now, but there's a few others that used to be some of the best. Actually, they might work on all the newfags. (Unfortunately the true impact of boxdog and Nana would probably be lost on them. That's kinda sad in itself...)

You can see what I meant about this stuff. Even the old, jaded /b/tards will bawww over at least one (Kiwi! and Marimo still get me. The Fresh Prince scene comes close). A sad thread collected sometimes a hundred or more of these things; it was a rare /b/tard who didn't break down by the end. I'll have to dig around for some more of the old stuff.
