Here's my dilemma. I'm trying to switch up my router's MAC address, however apparently my ISP does not recognize my MAC if I change it, and my connection to the web is no longer accessible until I return to the default setting.
Explanations? Ways around this? |

I've tried manual modification or smac, however neither seem to work. |

After you spoof using SMAC, do you go network connections and disable the connection then enable it, Then after doing all that, switch off the router then switch it on again?
Thats how it goes on my PC, sorry if you already knew that _________________ NIGRAPEDIA

MAC banned? Your personal MAC address doesnt go past the first hop. (do a tracert to habbo.com)
Its an IP ban, when you change your mac address your ISP assigns you another IP.
http://www.btard.org/tuts/hotelunban.php
Im not trying to be a know it all faggot, but I see so many people on /b/ and /i/ talking about bans based on MAC addresses over the internets
*edit*
If you are behind a router, changing your computers MAC with smac or manually wont do anything.
You'll need to change the routers MAC address, and thren reset your modem :monar: |

This is why I asked, and I'm glad some nigras had more info.
No worries on trying to be a KIA fag, at least you showed me something to pass on to other people in the case of it happening again.
Note:
Hmmm... even though I change my MAC address, I have no connection to the web at all, and any attempt to access it (including dis/enabling the nic after changing the port) fails miserably.
Any ideas? |

post the results of 'ipconfig' before and after you do the mac address change.
and I assume you are plugged into a router? an idea of your physical network setup would be cool. |

I have no idea how the hell to get unbanned.
I don't have a shockwave ID ban, I used the habbit.exe program or whatever to change my ID there. No Good.
I don't have an IP ban, I used a variety of proxies and none of them worked. No good.
I don't have a Mac Address ban, I changed my Mac Address via my router settings and also through SMAC on my second try. Didn't work, I'm still banned.
I have no clue HOW the HELL they banned me. HALP |

Are you using Shockwave 8?
Alot of people use Shockwave 10 and Habbit doesn't work with that. If your using 10 and get a shockwave ban, you will have to reinstall shockwave. Check your versions to be sure
That could be your problem _________________

If you still need to MAC spoof,
http://www.webfilehost.com/?mode=viewupload&id=8679678
Enter your ip, remove the last digit of your ip or change it.. Then click "get valid mac", it should give you a valid mac to spoof.. If you f34r it's a virus don't bother.
EDIT: Click "Connect"

So, I installed shockwave 8 after uninstalling 10... no good.
I try to manually change my router's mac address, and even though I can, I can't get out onto the web at all. No port 80, no AIM, nothing.
Any ideas? |

Who's your ISP? Do you restart your modem after you change the MAC? |
