Pool's Closed

**LOLTOAST**

The High School was placed on lockdown for more than an hour Monday morning after a student reported to school officials that there was a person in a blue pickup truck on campus with a gun.

Police officers and detectives responded to a call from the school around 11:30 a.m. and combed the campus, searching each building and classroom. California Highway Patrol officers and deputies from the Sheriff's Department blocked streets surrounding the campus.

"We went through our protocol and methodically searched all the buildings," said Chief Valerie Harris of the Police Department.

Officials said there was no immediate threat, but they were being careful. Each classroom was locked and students stayed in darkened rooms with their teachers.

Following a thorough search, no suspect was located and students were released from class around 12: 45 p.m.

Students quickly exited school building heading for a belated lunch.

Many were making frantic cell phone calls to family members. One student said into his phone that the school was on lockdown because of a suspected gang member on campus.

Others said a male wearing all blue brought a gun and was going to shoot all students wearing red.
