Nah, this won't escalate that far beyond Russia and possibly some of the little countries around there. Smaller conflicts can still happen of course for numerous reasons. A real World War would take a far more drastic event to happen. Things are too interconnected and overall too stable for it to be likely these days. |
The only chance this has of turning into WW III, is when the US starts fucking around with things. They might, because of the BTC oil pipeline in Georgia. I can actually see your current retarded president do it, though I'm betting that if the US intervenes, Moscow will retreat, at least periodically, to try and use diplomatic channels. Mainly since at least Russia knows that if two superpowers go to war with eachother, everyone's fucked. |
Bush is basically of no consequence now. The rest of the world knows he's a dumbass, he's lost all support here and his term is almost done. There are ways for his authority to be overridden anyway, if he tries to fuck with something really dangerous.

LOL now Russia's threatening Poland with nuclear warfare for it's anti-missiles, even though the anti-missiles had nothing to do with Russia, rather the anti-missiles were just for threats from the Middle-East. Paranoid Russia.
I don't think this will be a WWIII, but by the way it looks now, it might become Cold War II.
Edit: And now, another reporter was shot by a sniper, but it hit her in the arm with no serious damage.

Maybe the Glorious Emperor Putin realized that the human population consumes far past the ability for the environment to sustain itself long term, and is putting in motion a plan for mass human dieback. When you see india and china get involved, you know it's time to build a bunker. Preferably in Canada, no one notices them.

I have access to an old US airforce bunker that was built on my uncle's land in the 50s - it's only a small underground room with a ladder, but it's steel-lined, so I should at least stand a chance.
