2. Better CAPTCHA

3. Better CAPTCHA

If you do it "right" and make it nice, complex, and hard for a spambot to read, that will stop them easier. phpBB 2 is notorious for this kind of stuff.

If we wanted to stop all spambots we would have done it long ago. We stopped the registering ones some time back. The only ones coming along now are anonymous posting bots and they get neatly corralled in off topic.
