Make a forum called "Off Topic"

Bots are drawn to forums with that title so that way you can easily round most of them up in there

It worked surprisingly well on a forum where I'm admin.

Just implement an anti-spambot mod in the forum software. It's easy to do in punBB and I'm guessing it's easy on this software as well.
