Cleo isn't even trying anymore

So I had a golden opportunity tonight: my first chance in quite some time to insult MOD-Cleo to her face. I was at the roof when she came in. Instead of b& on sight, she started off with a warning that /b/lockers would be b&. So I ducked out for a minute, readied my insult (macro would give me the best chance, I figured), and got back in, by which time she was in view.

I ran, just to see if I could (didn't expect to, and would have gone back for moar if I'd made it). Didn't get far.

WTF? A measly two hours? C'mon Cleo. Thought I'd at least get 24 from you.

There were several longer bans she could use without "illegal activity." "Sexual harassment," for instance could be 24 hours or more. Hell, she routinely hands out at least 4 hours for "game disruption."

She's lost her touch
I was just at the pool, the second I walked in some nigras were banned, with cleo standing at the door.
I took my place behind afroduck, and Cleo was announcing that blocking and harrassing is against the Habbo way.
I stated that putting aids in the pool is part of the Habbo way, so inturn Having aids is the Habbo Way, but its not the nigra way.

I was disappointed, I got a weak little 2 hour ban for harassment.

I don't think we're making as much of an impact on these fags like we used to.

I was there, too (on the other side). One of the times she cleared it out tonight, I actually stood right on top of her as I came back in to the room (having left from the other side when I heard she was coming). I would have insulted her again (typed one in and all), but she had muted the room.

I made it out of the pool deck both times she came. Nigras didn't used to escape from Cleo. She was the one who used to ban anyone with a nigra name from outside the room. I had to spam half-a-dozen trade rooms to get b& for "vulgarity," (2 hrs.) instead.

Nigras only escaped because they heard a mod was in the room and ran for it.
It pissed me off that nigras were afraid to take a 2hour account ban.
Maybe thats why she's not being as harsh, She has actually struck fear in some nigras.
Its time for some training for the newer nigras.

In the beginning, we all used to run at the first sign of a mod. I mean, that was the point of having scouts, hq's, and the mod-detector. If you ran you would be back even sooner than if you were b&, especially if, like me, you were on dialup.

But those were the days of routine 24 hour bans and permabans; of IP and MAC bans as well. Those days are seemingly gone, and now we have little reason to run.

I won't defend running away in general, but I will make one argument for running during major raids: it is certainly true that not being b& keeps the number of nigras in the hotel at any one moment higher and makes the mod's job more difficult. It keeps the pressure on much more effectively if, in a room of 20 nigras, only 3 or 4 get b&, while the rest scatter - moving to flood other areas. This draws the mods away from the one room, and into others, while the b& nigras return along with /b/lackup to the recently cleared room.

That was why we could hold so many rooms simultaneously for so long in the earlier raids.

That was why they had to use room bans on 7/12.

If we just stand and allow ourselves to be b& like that on MLK, they will have no reason to room ban. If room bans are our goal, we're going to have to make them work to get us. We need to piss them off enough to stop 2 hour banning us. That will never happen if we just stand there and take it like bitches.

I finally got a 24 hour ban out of her. All it took was spamming "FUCK ME HARDER CLEO" over a dozen times with her in the room.

She obliged.
