i really don tknow why this game is so god damn popular. EVERYTHING is wrong with it. in fact, im going to take a look at whats wrong with it
1. all hitscan weapons
having all weapons as hitscan not only makes lag horrendusly more noticeable, but all it does is make it easier for cheaters. you cant write a fuckign aimbot for a projectile weapon, YOU NEED DA SKILL LOL
2. weapon balance
i have honestly never seen a game with worse weapon balance. only a few of the guns are even useful, and thats the m4, ak, awp, deagle, and mp5 if you're poor. when valve introduced DWP in source it really highlighted how laughable the weapon balance really is, with the ak, m4, awp, deagle, armor, and grenades skyrocketing to up to 500% of their original price, and everything else sinking down just as much.
3. gameplay
WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING? you die and you're out for the rest of the round? NO FUCKING THANKS. if the player dies you dont fuckign make the player wait ages for two uber-leet clanners to crawl around with awps. IT'S BORING AND IT JUST MAKES CHEATING THAT MUCH MORE WORTH IT.
plus, "realistic" gameplay (realistic meaning dying from very few hits) is fucking slow-paced and lame. all it does is favour camping and not rushing. look at quake, theres a fun fuckign game, because you dont die in like 2 hits from across the map. you take a rocket, you do your best to turn arund and rocket back. in counter-strike, you take a hit, and whoops, now you're out of the game and get to wait around for 5 minutes
and the most fatal flaw in the entire game is the money system. as much is it makes logiacl sense to reward the winning team, IT DOESN'T FUCKING WORK. rewarding the winning team just gives them a huge advantage. so if the terrorists win the first round, they get to run around with aks and awps if they kill enough people, while the cts are stuck with deagels and an mp5 if they're lucky
4. community
i dont care what anyone says, WoW has nothing on css in terms of stupidity. WoW may have HUGE FUCKING FAGGOT nerds, but at least WoW requires peopel to think to play the game and that scares away most of the idiots. not in cs, oh no, whats could be easier than sitting behind a box with a sniper rifle that kills someone IN ONE HIT? oh no, wait, thats SKILL in cs-land.
seriously you join a cs server and you are instantly bukakked with stupidity. first you'll have 10 year olds on the mic acting all gangsta, then you'll have your typical 13 year old faggot talking about a joint he didnt smoke or boobs he didnt grab, then you'll have people raging and calling bullshit every time theydie, and then you'll have people who are so bad they can't even form a coherent argument. on /b/ saying "NO U" is done for the lulz. in cs, the average rebuttal you'll get from someone doesn't have much more substance than a "NO U", they just tend to throw "nub" on the end. anyway where was i. oh yeah, community.
then you'll have two kids arguing over how the other sucks. they'll constantly bitch and piss and moan and whine at each other, and try to set up a 1on1 match, in which they both just camp with awps until one of their moms tells them they have to go to bed. whoever's mom tells them to go to bed first is the loser.
