I shut off all automatic updating on my system. Many times I shut off the messages about updates  as well. I'm quite capable of updating shit on my own and sometimes I really don't want the damn update. New is not always better.

You guys do know there are backups of your bookmarks right?

Make sure to search for "system32" and then delete that folder, it's what caused the problem.

After that, go to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\RANDOMLETTERSANDNUMBERS.default\bookmarkbackups
