People like the main event better than the opening act (which I was), but I did a decent warm-up.
At first I got some listeners by playing "B.Y.O.B." from System of Down and the Team America song "Montage".
Then, it somehow went downhill and I was doing everything to get more people to tune in (I even put on my 2006 guilty pleasure, "SexyBack").
The only songs listened in the middle were "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and the jingle for the Tenacious D movie The Pick of Destiny.
Finally I got a great listener increase on the last two songs, "The Antipop" from Primus and that amazing nine minute punk rock epic by Green Day "Jesus of Suburbia".
Hey, I least I had some good songs to party to and remember 2006 with. That's what mattered.
